Question by SMFW: Does Starbucks use the same coffee beans that you buy in the store?
I’ve noticed that whenever I get a cup of coffee from Starbucks it almost always tastes bitter and burnt. I have read that this is because they roast their coffee beans at higher temperatures to roast them faster. Now this leads me to wonder if this is the same beans they sell in bags because I have tried the bagged coffee and it doesn’t have the bitter and burnt taste. Perhaps it’s the way I’m brewing it or maybe they roast the coffee beans at normal roasting temperatures for the bagged coffees?
