The new Starbucks Doubleshot on ice is my new favorite…it’s shots of espresso shaken up with ice and classic syrup and a little bit of milk added on top…the Grande has 3 shots and the Venti has 5!

BUT, to be honest with you, regular coffee has more caffeine per drink than espresso (Espresso = 75 mg Caffeine per ounce, Coffee = 20 mg per ounce) Espresso drinks only come with a couple shots, but a full cup of coffee has a lot more ounces.

So do the math….let’s say you get the Grande Doubleshot (3 oz of espresso) – 75 x 3 = 225 mg

Grande Iced Coffee (16 oz) – 16 x 20 = 320! More caffeine! Even if you had a couple ounces of cream and sugar or vanilla syrup, it’s still going to give you more zip!

One thing that is not mentioned is the long established findings of caffeine’s ill effects on cardiovascular health:it is a predicator of etc. His study says nothing about INGESTED caffeine, merely potential effects of TOPICALLY APPLIED caffeine. The mentions the word “caffeine” over & over again next to statements of “destroying skin cancer” & “promoting health” while the intones the word slowly & with a pronounced rise in her voice.

Yes the amount of caffeine stays the same. It may settle to the bottom a bit especially if it is french press coffee. In addition if any evaporation has occurred the ratio of caffeine to coffee will be greater.

Sometimes, a specific player who simply being transferred immediately because of some contractual or roster issue. When not, there is usually a list of players that both teams have agreed would be acceptable. When the time comes to complete the trade, the team giving up a player will send one of those (of its choice) to the other team.

In general, lighter roasts are sharper and more acidic than the darker roasts. Darker roasts have a fuller flavor. Beans that have been over-roasted will take on a burned, smoky or charcoal flavor. Also, there is less caffeine in the darker roasted coffees than in the lighter ones.
